Hey, global friends!
Today, I would like to show you a digital clock named ‘Utck’, which is favored by Korean university students. You know, this is not an ordinary clock. I named this ‘Please LET ME IN Clock’. Korean universities usually open up registration sessions in August. Proudly being an ‘Bbali-Bbali’ (yes, we do everything at least twice faster than you ever imagine – and that also includes registration), this registration process usually ends up in one or two SECONDS. I mean it. Literally. It’s first-come-first-served. If you want to crush them, you must download this clock and practice your mouse clicking skills in advance.
Well, if you fail to register the classes that you wanted so badly, you have two options: you either ‘bag’ to your professor or buy that class online, usually at university’s community site. I know it’s pretty dumb since we already have payed our tuition, but there’s just no other way to get into the class that you wanted. As a matter of fact, Korean universities’ tuition is way more expensive than other countries – we were runner-up in 2009 and 4th in 2011 among OECD countries – so we have to repay student loan for four years after we graduate. Yeah, it’s a pity, but what you gonna do. We have to get that shitty degree to get into some decent companies like Samsung or other big ones. In a word, Korean students are paying this outrageous tuitions just to get into hardboiled war of registration, and usually lose.
